WIP Wednesday

I have been quite a busy knitter and I have quite a few finished objects to share with you. I also have a work in progress.

First up are my Cat Colorwork mittens. I am have one complete minus the thumb. I am pleased how it turned out, especially for my first colorwork but to be honest, I think these may remain unfinished least for the time being.

I also finished K's valentines pants and her birthday sweater. I am going to hold off on talking about her sweater for a bit since I will make that part of the birthday chit chat.

Her Valentines pants were knit out of stash yarn I have had for some time and was setting aside specifically for a Valentine's related project. I think they turned out great and they are soft and comfy for her.

Last night I (finally) cast on my Ulmus Rectangle. I have been wanting to knit this shawl for a long time and I am pleased to get moving on it. I had some trouble deciding on colors. I wanted to knit it in identical colors to the photo but when I looked at the Blue Moon Fiber Arts site, I was overwhelmed with the beautiful color.  In the end, I went with Lettuce Knit and Motley Hue. I was a little nervous how well they would match but they look incredible together (and they seem even better matched in their yarn cakes) see...

I am gearing up to begin one more project but you will have to wait for next week for that. It is my Ravelypmics 2010 project...

Oh, and there is this mysterious project...

as always, more details here.
