Over at the Hip Mountain Mama blog there are doing a series on One Small Change from now until Earth Day.
In a nutshell, for each month from now until Earth Day (4.22.10) you commit to making one small change with a positive green impact. You could change to CFL lightbulbs, buy recycled napkins (or better yet, invest in cloth napkins) recycle more, etc.
For January, I am committing to not using any plastic bags. I have a wonderful set of cloth grocery bags and I am diligent about using them. My real issue is those bags when I run errands. Some time ago, I received a few Chico bags (you know, the little ones that stuff inside themselves) and put one in my purse, one in the glove box and one in the diaper bag and I did a semi-consistent job at using them. Now, when I think about it, I have no idea where the bags are. I need to do some digging around the house. I need to to run some errands today so my challenge begins then.
Does anyone want to join me? What is your small change for the month?

I take a bath every night, simply because I am cold. I live in the desert. Probably not the smartest idea! I am going to try to pull out more blankets!!
